Care Tips
Pearlweed adapts well to a wide range of water conditions, making it one of the most forgiving stem plants available. It grows fastest under medium to high lighting with CO₂, but can also thrive under low-tech conditions at a slower pace. Trim regularly to encourage bushy lateral growth and prevent the lower stems from becoming bare. Temperatures between 68–82°F (20–28°C) and a neutral pH are ideal.
Aquascape Use
Pearlweed is incredibly versatile — plant it densely in the foreground for a carpet-like effect, use it as a flowing mid-ground accent, or let it float freely at the surface to provide shade and shelter for fry and shrimp. Its delicate, pearl-dotted stems contrast beautifully with bold, broad-leafed plants and darker substrates.
